They are all smiling!

I had to post this picture because all three of my kids are smiling! It's been a while since I've captured a shot like this. What sweet blessings they are to me - daily reminders of grace undeserved as well as my great need for help everyday ...

Natural Remedies & Resources

My parents raised us on pretty healthy foods and vitamins, for which I'm very thankful. I'm no expert but health and nutrition has always intrigued me, especially now that I realize I will not have the quick pediatric visit anytime I want overseas. Here's the things I have found helpful when treating my little one's naturally (no matter where you live!) that I hope will be great resources when we move to Asia. My sister has had wonderful results from these products as she's had to guard her youngest more than usual since he has special health issues and a trach (making him very prone to infections/colds).

For more recommendations on what
vitamins/ herbs are helpful you can leave a comment or email me. You can pretty much do a search on Trilight's website to find herbs for your needs. We love Shaklee & Trilight herbs.

I purchased an otoscope to check little one's ears with and an stethoscope to listen to their lungs (for cold season, especially since my middle one tends a little toward lung issues, etc.)

Here's some great books I will be using a lot to help care for our family's health while we are overseas:

Our Big Kid

Job is growing up so fast! I cannot believe he will be 6 this Summer. He reached a milestone about 4 months ago when he lost his first teeth (both bottom row front teeth). Then last week he lost his front top tooth! This big gaping hole in his grin makes me marvel - he's growing so fast. I remember losing that top tooth and how it felt funny and how old it makes a kid look to be missing their "baby" teeth. Before I post some pics here's some things I LOVE about my big kid:

- He loves to curl up and read a good book. He's the oldest and gets the most out of our reading times. He always wants "just one more chapter!". We just started Charlotte's Web after finishing Paddington Bear a few weeks ago.

- He loves to serve. He will go grab me a blanket, help his siblings wash their hands or ask me if he can load the dishwasher (yes, he's just 5!).

- He is our most outgoing one. He thrives in social situations and loves to make others laugh....just as his cousins :) He's really a natural leader and I'm thankful for that though at times it can take more out of you to shepherd a "leader".

- His adoring looks at daddy lately. He wants to be just like dad. "Is that water you are drinking, daddy? I'll take water please mom..." So. Cute.

I am happy to watch the journey of your growth my sweet boy.

Welcome to our family blog!

We have officially moved out of our house! We sold our big stuff, gave lots away and threw lots away (and it felt great!). We are currently living with my parents until we go to a two month training time for our jobs before leaving for Asia in the Summer. For now we just wait, rest, rely and continue to be excited for what lies ahead...oh and of course pack and figure out exactly what we need to bring :) We will keep you updated!
