Resources on Adoption

*sorry the last one is blurry - taken by my oldest boy*
Several people have asked me for financial guidance about funding an adoption and how we afforded bringing sweet Felicity home from Ethiopia. I have found THIS PAGE (click on the caps) a great resources on that and wanted to place it up here for others who might be interested. Just for kicks, here's a recent picture of our little lady. She is so sweet! On almost a daily basis she says things to me like "wow, mom, I like your shoes!" or "you look pretty mom!" - could she get more precious?

As far as an update on how things are moving for us - they are coming along. We have gotten the kids passports totally done this week and sorted through some more boxes in the garage (lamenting what books we will leave behind!), bought good shoes for the whole family (kids were a tad bigger than they need) and enjoying lots of last meals with sweet friends.

Hope everyone is well!

I'm 26 and so blessed.

I recently turned the big 26! The day couldn't have been more sweet. We picked my mom up from the airport and had breakfast and then my husband was such a servant and kept the kids while I went to my favorite joint around the corner to get a hair cut (also know as my amazingly talented sister's house :). We talked, drank coffee and enjoyed our time. Then I came home and found the above rice krispy treats made into hearts sitting on the counter waiting for me with a birthday banner - could this guy be any cuter? Seriously. I can picture him in the kitchen with the kids making these just for me. We spent some time together in the afternoon and then he kept the kids again for me to get some much needed girl time with my mom, my sister in law (may as well be blood relatives we love this girl so much) and my best friend in the world outside of Paul, my sister. My husband knows just how much it means to me to have some one on one time with these women and it served me so well. Thank you sweetheart! Your amazing! Lately, I rarely get these 3 ladies in one place so it was such a treat. I laugh so hard when I'm with them and we can all completely be ourselves. They know me so well and that's such a feeling of love and comfort. They took me to dinner, shopping, coffee and then we got my nose pierced...we had to do something to get mom on the edge - just kidding! :) Having you there mom, made such a memory. This b-day will go down in the books!

At TJMaxx trying on hats - tell me you wouldn't do this move with the hands you see here if you were wearing the incredible hat I have on?

This is pre-piercing, about to head into the parlor - don't we look hard core :)
Thank you ladies for a 26 that will be unforgettable! It will make the future bdays we are not together better because of our night of fun!

Truckin' Along.

Here's what got crossed off my moving overseas "to-do" list this morning:

*Purchased a plethora (love that word) of over the counter medicines from Target for our personal use overseas. We were encouraged to bring our own pharmacy really :) I will add this to my pile of herbs and vitamins.

*Went to two goodwill's looking for large, older suitcases as they are sure to get beat up on our trip over. I found one.

*Sorting through the kids clothes to see what we need. How many items for each season each of the kids will need.

*Normal keep up with the house stuff... and the laundry pile from our trip this last week!

Aiming to do all this with joy....

Blessings.
